The digital 315W CDM ballast uses a microprocessor to correct the voltage, current, and constantly monitoring to avoid damage to bulbs. The 315W CDM Digital Ballasts produce much more lumens output use less electricity and do not degrade with age unlike the older style ballasts.

315W CDM Ballasts run cooler than standard digital ballasts, however it should still be fixed to a flat surface in a well-ventilated area.
